Laser Fireworks Show At Ayodhya Deepotsava This Year

Lucknow, Nov 9, 2020 || In view of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Uttar Pradesh government has changed tack on the proposed 'Deepotsava' (Festival of Lights) scheduled to take place in Ayodhya between November 11 and 13. According to officials, to "ensure protection of the environment", a laser show fireworks will take place at the otherwise 'high-decibel' event.

The government has pulled out all stops to make the event memorable and is eyeing a world record of lighting up more than 5.5 lakh earthen lamps at Ram Ki Paudhi in the temple town this year.

The state government has been organising the Deepotsava every year on Diwali eve, ever since Yogi Adityanath came to power in March 2017.
