Kasganj Custodial Death: Father Writes To Yogi, Seeks CBI Probe

Kasganj, Nov 17 (TNA) Father of late Altaaf, the youth who was found hanging from a tap in the toilet of a police station some days back, has written to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, seeking a CBI probe into the mysterious death of his son.

Alleging that his son was murdered by the policemen, father of the deceased, who till now was demanding a judicial probe has now sought the investigation to be handed over to the CBI.

Chand Miyan, father of the deceased Altaf, also warned of going on a hunger strike if the CBI investigation is not okayed. Resident of Nagla Sayyed of village Ahrauli, he has said in the letter that his son Altaf was murdered in police custody on November 9 and that the police wrote a fake case against his son.

“There should be a CBI inquiry into the matter and post-mortem of my child's body should be done again by the doctor of AIIMS Hospital, Delhi” he has said in the letter.
