Jilted Lover Attacks Girl, Injures Face With A Blade In Lucknow

Lucknow, Oct 8 (TNA) A jilted lover seriously injured a young girl in Jankipuram area of Lucknow late on Thursday after she refused to respond to her romantic advances. He attacked the girl with a sharp blade and injured her face as she stepped out of her house. On hearing the screams of the girl passers by rescued her and the assailant fled.

Her family was informed and they took her to a nearby emdical facility where her condition is stated to be serious but out of danger. Police is searching for the accused youth who has been identified as Shubham, a neighbour. The girl, who lives in Sector 6, is a graduate. student.

A few days before the girl, the accused had befriended her through a social networking site. The girl had reportedly refused to follow him on the site and this angered the boy. While attacking the girl, he was ehard shouting that if she will not be his, he will deface her.
