Israeli Envoy, Government Delegation Meets UP Chief Minister

Lucknow, June 13 (TNA) An Israeli government delegation led by Israel's Ambassador Naor Gilon met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his 5 Kalidas Marg official residence on Monday. During the talks, Ambassador Naor Gilone said that Israel and India have strong strategic ties.

With Uttar Pradesh, we are in the role of a good ally in many areas. In the near future, Israel is going to support Uttar Pradesh in the fields of defence, police modernization, agricultural modernization, better use of water to farmers, availability of drinking water in Bundelkhand and defense production.

The Chief Minister said that with the help of Israel, two Centers of Excellence were established in Basti and Kannauj districts of Uttar Pradesh, both of which are achieving success in their objectives and informed the visiting delegates of plans to establish a new Center of Excellence in the field of Horticulture and Vegetable production.

The Ambassador thanked the Chief Minister for giving the time and said that Israel and the Government of India have a strong strategic and strategic relationship, which has intensified after the visit of Prime Minister Modi in 2017 and the two countries work together in new areas.

The Government of Israel, along with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, will take forward the work they are doing in the field of agriculture and irrigation, better availability of water and water conservation to increase the income of farmers, he added.
