International Smuggling Racket Busted In Noida, e-Cigarettes Worth 45 Lakhs Recovered

Noida, February 26 (TNA) An international smuggling racket that was being through China and Nepal was busted by the Noida Police on Sunday. Police have arrested two smugglers with e-cigarettes worth Rs 45 lakh. The arrested smugglers said that they brought banned e-cigarettes via Pilibhit and Khatima to reach Delhi-NCR.

Noida's Kotwali Sector-39 police smashed this interstate gang smuggling banned e-cigarettes from China to Nepal. Acting on information, the police arrested two smugglers of the gang near Sector-41-42 cut. The accused were identified as Ahmed Rafi and Tasleem, residents of Khatima (Uttarakhand). Apart from e-cigarettes worth more than Rs 45 lakh and more than three kilos of ganja, a car has also been recovered from their possession. The accused used to bring e-cigarettes to NCR via Nepal. After this, it was taken to bars, clubs and youth.

Noida Zone DCP Vidyasagar Mishra said that both the accused took the consignment of e-cigarettes from mastermind Rinku sitting in Nepal and brought it to Delhi-NCR by road. Both were arrested when a consignment of e-cigarettes was going from Nepal to Rohini (Delhi). Search for other smugglers of the gang.
