If Voted To Power In UP, All Pending Electricity Bills Will be Waived Off: AAP

Lucknow, Sep 16 (TNA) A day after taking a lead in the preparations by releasing the list of 1090 probable candidates for the forthcoming state assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made another strong pitch Thursday as it promised free electricity upto 300 units if voted to power.

In a Tweet, Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said that if AAP was voted to power in UP, within the next 24-hours of assuming power, electricity bills till 300 units will be made free. He also said that all past dues will also be waived off and that people can tear the previous pending bills off.

There will be a start with a zero, he said and added that party chief Arvind Kejriwal was of the opinion that in the 21st century, electricity was not a luxury but a fundamental right of every citizen. He added that since UP produced large scale power, the implementation would be much easier than in Delhi.
