House Of Mafia-Don-Turned-Politician Ateeq Ahmad In Prayagraj Demolished

PRAYAGRAJ || The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) on Tuesday demolished the residence of mafia don turned politician Ateeq Ahmad, located in Chakia.

Supporters of the former Lok Sabha MP took to the streets to protest agains the action, alleging it as political vendetta. Heavy police force was deployed at the site of the demolition.

Ahmad's house is spread on a 3000 square metre land and the PDA alleged that it was illegal. The officials found it difficult to break open the lock on the main gate after which JCB machines and bull dozers were pressed into service and the house was razed to the ground.

The whole action was videographer and officials went from one room to another checking and then directing labourers to removed the stuff from inside. The household items were hen counted and put in the open.

After the items were removed the demolition work started. PDA officials told media persons that the whole house was illegally built and it had hence been decided to demolish it.
