Health Of Former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh "Grim", On Life Support

Lucknow, July 21 (TNA) Health of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh continued to be in dire straits as his vital parameters kept fluctuating and his consciousness level remained poor and reduced. As per doctors attending on him at the ICU of the SGPGI, several parameters of the 89-year-old 'hero' of the Ram temple movement of the 90's - urea, creatinine levels were high and his body was showing signs of swelling.

He was intubated and put on life-saving support system since Tuesday evening. Kalyan Singh was admitted to the ICU of the hospital on the evening of July 4 due to an infection and reduced consciousness level. Union defence minister and his long-time colleague, Rajnath Singh visited him at the hospital and enquired about his health.

A senior doctor admitted that things were not "looking too good" and that the health of the veteran BJP leader was "grim". His family is by his bedside since Tuesday evening when doctors called them as the condition of Singh deteriorated.
