Government Names G Muniraj As The New SSP of Ghaziabad
Lucknow, April 3 (TNA) Effecting a third reshuffle in four days, the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday named G Muniraj as the new police chief of Ghaziabad. Only a day back, the government had given DIG Vigilance LR Kumar temporary charge of SSP Ghaziabad. This was two days after the Pawan Kumar, SSP Ghaziabad was suspended late on Thursday after orders from chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
The chief minister was unhapping with spiralling crimes in the district, neighbouring the union capital. Now G Muniraj has been given the reins of the district, notorious for crime and criminals. His last prominent posting was in Agra as SSP from where he was shifted out on October 23 last year after the death of a Dalit youth in police custody.
