Free Ration Scheme Extended In UP For Three Months

Lucknow, March 26 (TNA) In an apparent thanks giving for the huge support in the recently concluded state assembly elections, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has decided to extend its free ration scheme by three months. The decision was arrived at the first Yogi 2.0 cabinet meeting.

"In the cabinet meeting today, we have decided to extend the free ration scheme for the next 3 months. It will benefit 15 crore people of the state," said the Chief Minister. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that for the scheme the government will spend ₹ 3,270 crore. The free ration scheme was likely to end in March, as announced earlier.
