Four Killed On Agra-Lucknow Expressway As Container Driver Falls Asleep, Jumps Divider, Rams Into Car On The Other Side

Unnao, June 19 (TNA) A horrific road accident took place on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway on Sunday morning when a container rammed into an Innova car, going on the other side of the divider. In this accident, four occupants of the car died on the spot, while two people were seriously injured.

The dead include husband, wife, their daughter and a niece. According to the information received, the accident happened on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway on Sunday morning. The driver of the container truck going from Lucknow to Kanpur, slept, broke the divider, overturned and hit the Safari car going from Agra to Lucknow in the second lane.

The rescue team of UPEIDA took the injured to Lucknow Trauma Center, where the couple, their daughter and the niece were declared brought dead. The dead include Akhilesh Mishra (40), wife Babita Mishra (36), daughter Priyanshi Mishra (12) and niece Jyoti Mishra (10), all residents of Siwan in Bihar. Akhilesh's brother Santosh Mishra and another person Swaroop are undergoing treatment.
