Four AMU Students Booked For Protest March In Solidarity Of Palestine, Against Israel

Aligarh, Oct 10 (TNA) A case has been filed against four students of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for participating in a protest march against the retaliatory bombing in Ghaza strip by the Israeli forces to avenge the attack on its civilians by Hamas terrorists. The charges students include those doinf MBA and PhD.

On Sunday a protest march against Israel and a solidarity march for Palestine was taken out in the AMU campus by students. Videos of this march went viral on the social media, making users seek action against the protesting students. The march was rent with slogans of “Free Palestine, Israel down down”.

On Monday, the matter reached the top annals of the state government, following which the district administration was asked to act in accordance with the view of the union government on this matter. Based on CCTV footage, the police has charged four students - Mohd Naved, Kamran (MA), Khalid (PhD) and MBA student Atif, under sections 188, 153 A and 505.

They have been accsued of hurting religious sentiments, taking out a procession without the necessary permissions, breaching prohibitory orders and raising inflamatory slogans.
