Former IPS Amitabh Thakur To Start Election Campaign From Gorakhpur On August 21

Lucknow, August 18 (TNA) Retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amitabh Thakur, who recently said that he will be contesting against the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath in the forthcoming state assembly elections, on Wednesday declared that he shall be going to Gorakhpur on August 21.

He also announced that he shall be formally starting his election campaign through this visit. Amitabh has announced to contest against Adityanath claiming that he undertook many undemocratic, improper, suppressive, harassing and discriminatory works during his tenure as Chief Minister.
