For Farmers Welfare, Yogi Government To Seek Maximum Help From NABARD

Lucknow, December 22 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to take more help from NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) in improving the rural infrastructure in the state and for farmer welfare, an official said on Tuesday.

Following up on his recent visit to Mumbai, where he met Dr Govind Rajula Chintala, Chairman of NABARD, Yogi has asked officials to ensure that all help was taken from NABARD in the construction of rural roads and development of useful infrastructure facilities for agriculture (warehouses, warehouses, cold storage etc.).

He has also instructed the APC (Agricultural Production Commissioner) to prepare an action plan with regards to this. The CM had asked the NABARD chief to finance projects like the Saryu Canal and the Arjuna tributary canals, which have been hanging fire for many years now, in order to fulfil the slogan of Per Crop More Drop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This will benefit lakhs of farmers from many districts of Purvanchal and Madhya Pradesh. On the suggestion of the Chief Minister, the chairman of the bank has assured to help in upgrading the state sugar mills, crusher units, micro, small and medium industries MSME units and dairy industries related to making ethanol.
