Following Intervention Of Brajesh Pathak, Media Ban On Entry Into Lohia Institute Revoked

Lucknow, May 3 (TNA) Following the intervention of deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, who also hold the charge of health and medical education, the ban on entry of media persons into the premises of the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Medical Institute in Lucknow has been revoked.

Dr Vikram Singh, the medical supreintendent who signed the ban orders informed that the order was only meant for “self-styled reporters” who would “every now and then start live shows and coverage” at various places in the hospital. There was a huge furore in the media following the diktat. Pathak followed it up with the authorities of Lohia and is elarnt to have rung the superintendednt himself and gave him a dressing down.

The gag order was thereafter withdrawn. The authorities have also expressed regret at the earlier order.
