Five Arrested With Synthetic Drugs Worth Rs 50 Lakhs In Varanasi

Varanasi, August 5 (TNA) Five persons have been arrested in Varanasi for running a synthetic drugs syndicate. Drugs worth Rs 50 lakh have also been seized from their posession. The business of synthetic drugs was going on for a long time in a house located in Kadipur, Indrapuri Enclave.

The raid was conducted raid by a joint team of STF and Narcotics Control Bureau which recovered 1300 grams of synthetic drugs. Gang masterminds are Sandeep Tiwari, resident of Indrapuri enclave and native of Poly, Barsathi police station of Jaunpur, Pramod Yadav of Mahmadpur Patti Hulas village, Anand Tiwari of Chagra under Suriyanwa police station of Bhadohi district, Sushil Upadhyay of Abarna village and Akram Chunnu of Mumbai. Khadde was arrested.

All five were handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau of Lucknow for further action. On Saturday, all five will be presented in court and sent to jail in judicial custody. STF's Varanasi unit's Additional SP Vinod Kumar Singh said that information was received that intoxicating synthetic drugs are prepared in a house in Shivpur area and supplied at the interstate level.
