Drunk Driver Rams Truck Into Auto In Badayun, Seven Killed

Badayun, August 26 (TNA) Seven people were killed in a road accident in Badayun district of Uttar Pradesh as a drunk truck driver rammed his vehicle into an auto-rickshaw, police said. The deceased include a mother-daughter.

According to information available, Bundi Miyan, the auto-driver who had recently purchased the vehicle was taking the passengers to Badayun when a speeding truck rammed into it headon. The auto was turned into a mangled heap of steel and glass as it was completely damaged and the bodies of the passengers had to be extracted out with great difficulty.

The truck also overturned a little ahead near the Lalai petrol pump. Six people died on the spot while the seventh passed away on way to a medical facility.
