Congress Postpones 'Ladki Hun Lad Sakti Hun' Marathon Series In UP

Lucknow, January 5 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh Congress has postponed its 'Ladki Hun Lad Sakti Hun' marathon due to rise in COVID cases. With the cases of Coronavirus growing in many parts of the state, a UPCC leader informed, the party leadership had decided to set aside the proposed Marathon events.

The party had planned 7 to 8 marathons in the coming days in Noida, Varanasi, and various other districts of the states. It had successfully held such marathons in Jhansi, Lucknow and Bareilly recently, with a high-decibel campaign pitching for more rights and safety of women and girls.

There was a minor stampede in the Bareilly marathon and some girls sustained minor injuries. The party had come in for heavy criticism over the incident.
