Congress Names Officiating Presidents For 21 Districts In Poll-Bound UP

Lucknow, January 20 (TNA) Amid hectic political pace, preceding the state assembly elections voting for which begins from February 10, the Congress on Thursday announced district presidents in 21 districts of Uttar Pradesh. This is being seen as a massive organisational revamp exercise, ahead of the crucial do-or-die assembly polls.

Ramesh Rajbhar has been named as the Azamgarh district president while Rajesh Singh Gautam is the new officiating president of Varanasi, Jaideep Tripathi (Deoria), Fareed Ahmad (Sonbhadra), Misbahul Ain (Kaushambi), Yusuf Malik (Pilibhit), Pawan Singh has been named the new district president of Shahjahanpur, Lal Saheb Yadav for Ghazipur and Yusuf Farooqui for Unnao.

Kartik kaushik has been appointed as officiating district president of Ghaziabad, Yogesh Sharma (Baghpat), Prashant Tripathi (Amethi), Gopal Kulshrestha (Mainpuri), Tej Bahadur Pathak (Sultanpur), Ram Singh Verma ‘Pasi’ for Hardoi, Amarjeet Singh-Gonda, Dilip Kumar Singh ‘Munna’ (Kanpur dehat), Brijraj Singh (Mahoba), Deep Chandra Jain (mirzapur), Shiv Pujan Pandey (Ayodhya) and Deepak Bajpai-Lakhimpur Kheri.
