Congress Jolted As Priyanka Gandhi’s Advisor Harendra Malik Quits Party
Lucknow, Oct 19 (TNA) On a day the Indian National Congress (INC) was looking forward for good days ahead as it announced its ‘Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon’ campaign where it has reserved 40% tickets in the forthcoming UP elections for women, it was jolted as Harendra Malik, advisor to general secretary and UP in-charge, Harendra Malik resigned form all party posts.
He announced late night that he was quit the primary membership of the Congress and resigned from all party posts with immediate effect. It is learnt that along with him, former legislator Pankaj Malik has also bid adieu to the Congress.
While is is not clear whether the resignation has anything to do with the announcement of 40% ticket share for women, whispers in the party cadre suggests so.
