Chief Medical Officer Claims DM Rae Bareli Called Him An "Ass", UP Government Left Red-Faced

LUCKNOW || The Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh was left red-faced after the chief medical officer (CMO) of Rae Bareli, Sanjay Sharma complained about the DM Vaibhav Srivastava, foul mouthing him at an official meeting on Friday. In his letter, Sharma said that the DM not only called him "an ass" but also threatened to get him skinned.

He further said that in these circumstances he was not in a position to work with the abusive district magistrate and that this uncouth and uncalled for behaviour during the COVID19 pandemic had also disenchanted the Corona Warriors in their fight against the deadly virus. The CMO also said that in future he will not attend any meetings called and chaired by the district magistrate.

The DM however said that while he had used harsh language against the CMO owing to callousness in discharge of duties he did not abuse the senior medical officer. Several doctors and medical associations have condemned the language used by the bureaucrat agains their colleague.
