Case Of Mother-Daughter Being Charred To Death In Kanpur Dehat Reaches Allahabad HC, CBI Probe Sought

Prayagraj, February 15 (TNA) The case where a mother-daughter were charred to death during their forced eviction from a house during an anti-encroachment drive in Kanpur Dehat reached the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday. A petition has been filed in theHigh Court demanding an unbiased investigation through a CBI inquiry into the matter.

The petition demanded action against the responsible officials and compensation to the family. The CBI probe, the petition says, should be done under the supervision of the High Court. Compensation has also been sought for the subsistence of the family.
