Bus From Bihar To Delhi Rams Into Divider On Agra-Lucknow Expressway In Mainpuri, One Killed, 34 Injured

Mainpuri, July 22 (TNA) One person was killed and 34 others injured when a bus dashed into the divider and then rammed into a pole at the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Mainpuri on Thursday, police said. The ill-fated bus was headed to Delhi from Bihar. Four injured are critical and have been referred to the Saifai Medical College.

Police immediately rushed to the Milestone 91 in kathal where the mishap took place. Prima facie, an official told The News Agency, it appeared that the driver of the bus dozed off, leading to the accident. The damaged bus has been removed from the main road where traffic was briefly disrupted.

The deceased is yet to be identified and efforts are underway to find out who he was, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mainpuri AK Rai informed.
