BJP Nominates Six MLCs, Includes Son of Nripendra Mishra And AMU Vice-Chancellor

Lucknow, April 4 (TNA) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has named six persons as members of the legislative council (MLC). Late Monday night Governor Anandiben Patel approved all the six names sent by the government for the six seats of the nominated quota in the Upper House of the Vidhan Sabha.

The names that have got the green signal include Dr. Tariq Mansoor, VC of Aligarh Muslim University, Saket Mishra, son of former bureaucrat and close aide of PM Modi, Nripendra Mishra, former president of BJP's Brij region Rajnikant Maheshwari.

Other names include BJP's Varanasi District President Hansraj Vishwakarma, Dr. Lalji Nirmal, President of Scheduled Caste Finance Development Corporation and Ram Surat Rajbhar, who contested from Phulpur Powai constituency of Aajgarh. A formal notification has also been issued in this regard.
