BJP Names History Sheeter As 'State Secretary' Of Its Youth Wing In UP

Lucknow, August 3 (TNA) Hours after it released the list of the new office bearers of its youth wing, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faced embarrassed on the social media as people reacted sharply to the inclusion of Arvind Raj Tripathi, a leader from Kanpur. In police records he is a history sheeter.

The leader has been handed a life term and has openly shot a lawyer. He had his first case lodged in 2002 and in 2009 Gangster Act was slapped on him. He has two attempted murder case against him as well. In the past he has been named in an FIR for having attacked policemen in a drunken state and of bashing them.

Shivam Pratap Singh, a scribe on Twitter has described the new 'mantri' of the youth wing as a man whose writ ran large in student politics many years back in Kanpur.

"When I was studying in Kanpur, I remember of the terror of Arvind Raj Tripathi aka Chotu Tripathi" he wrote. He further informed that Tripathi went on to become a general secretary of the CSJM but did not stop at that". BJP, he added with a tinge of taunt, however was a party where assimilation means washing off all past sins!
