BJP MP Kaushal Kishore Threatens To Stage Sit-In: Is Dissent Brewing In BJP Over UP Govt's Handling Of COVID Pandemic?
Lucknow, April 24 (TNA) Murmurs of dissent and concern over the handling of the COVID pandemic in the state by the government are now out in the open. Days after law minister Brajesh Pathak aired his dismay over the situation in a publicised letter, BJP's Lok Sabha MP from Mohanlalganj, Kaushal Kishore on Saturday threatened to stage a sit-in, if the oxygen system for individuals was not restored with immediate effect.
In a video statement, the MP from Mohanlalganj in Lucknow said that he was flooded with frantic calls and SOSs from people asking for help and intervention to get oxygen, which he pointed, out was a life giver. "There is government order not to provide oxygen to individuals, but what would people do who are in home isolation and in dire need of oxygen?" he questioned.
To avoid chaos which will happen if a stage a sit-in, I urge the state government to take immediate steps to meet the oxygen challenge and ensure proper and adequate supply to COVID patients in home isolation and also in hospitals.
