BJP Legislator From Auraiyya Ramesh Diwakar Dies Of COVID

Lucknow, April 23 (TNA) A lawmaker of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) - Ramesh Diwakar passed away on Friday due to Coronavirus infection. He was MLA from Auraiyya Sadar and had tested positive for the virus a few days back.

After his condition worsened, he was shifted to the Meerut Medical College, where he died on Friday morning.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences on the demise of Diwakar and has extended his sympathies to the bereaved family of the late legislator.
