Awareness Campaign On World Kidney Day To Kickstart In Lucknow Today

Inauguration of awareness campaign on World Kidney Day on March 21 in which a Rath Yatra Procession will be run

Lucknow, March 21 (TNA) Human Assistance Foundation is running an 8-day Rath Yatra program in the city to create awareness about kidney and its related diseases, will be inaugurated by Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, Minister of AYUSH (Independent Charge) in presence of Leena Johri, Principal Secretary, Department of AYUSH, an organsier informed TNA.

The Rath Yatra will be inaugurated at 2.00 pm from Ayush Minister's residence, 2 Tilak Marg, Lucknow Zoo Gate No. 2. It will go to localities like Dalibagh, Hazratganj, Narhi, Civil Hospital, Jawahar Bhavan, Gomti Nagar, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Chowk, Thakurganj, Nakkhas, KGMC, Avadh Square, Alambagh Square, Lokbandhu, Aminabad, Kesarbagh, Lalbagh, Aliganj, Jankipuram, Sitapur Road, SGPGI, Vrindavan Colony, Telibagh, Kalidas Marg, Raj Bhavan Marg over the next few days and conclude at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak.

Services provided in the camp include free consultation for kidney and all diseases, free Blood Pressure & Blood Sugar Checkup, free Kidney Failure Screening Test, other Kidney Tests at 50% Discount, diet advice, Yoga camp by Prayag Arogyam Kendra, facilitation of low cost Dialysis.

The secretary of the Human Assistance Foundation Dr Lubna Kamal also informed that the homeopathy students and yoga trainers who had been participating in various programs of the foundation since last year, will be felicitated by the AYUSH minister with certificates.

There will also be a survey in Rath Yatra, in which a form will be filled from the general public. After analysis of the data, it will be put forward to the Health Minister on March 28 and he will be requested to develop AYUSH medical Colleges as centres of preventive health care.

The Deputy Chief minister will also be requested to start collaborative health projects between AYUSH medical Colleges and Allopathic or Modern Medicine Medical Colleges for better Research and publication opportunities for UG AND PG students of AYUSH.
