Ashes Of Kalyan Singh Immersed In Saryu River At Ayodhya

Lucknow, Sep 10 (TNA) The last ritual for late Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Kalyan Singh - immersion of his ashes, was conducted in the holy town of Ayodhya on Thursday. The flower decked vehicle carrying the ashes of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart drove from Lucknow to Ayodhya.

It was accompanied by his son Rajveer Singh, grandson and UP minister Sandeep Singh and several BJP leaders and office bearers of the state. The ashes were taken on the banks of the Saryu river where a large crowd had gathered to bid their leader the final good bye.

The family then took a boat and spread the ashes in the middle of the river.
