Amid Teary Eyes And Heavy Hearts Journalist Kamal Khan Laid To Rest

Lucknow, January 14 (TNA) Amid a huge outpouring of grief and sadness, veteran television journalist Kamal Khan was laid to rest in the state capital on Friday evening. Khan, who had a long association of over three decades with the NDTV and was currently its resident editor.

Known for his immense grip and a special, sophisticated style of reportage, Khan suffered a massive cardiac arrest in the morning and before he could be rushed to a hospital he passed away at his Butler Palace residence. Tributed poured in from all over the country on his untimely and sudden demise.

UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, BSP supremo Mayawati, Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Aradhana Misra ‘Mona’, several minister and bureaucrats have mourned the passing away of Khan. Hundreds of his admirers, journalists and relatives were present at his burial.

Many journalists expressed their sadness at the tragedy on social media through pictures and posts that remembered Kamal Khan and his long career as one of the top journalists of Uttar Pradesh. His coverage of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, his poetic ways of reporting were also widely remembered.

he is survived by his journalist wife Ruchi Kumar, who works for India TV and son Aman, who is also a young scribe.
