After Humiliating Defeat, Mayawati Dissolves All BSP Units In UP
Lucknow, March 27 (TNA) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Sunday held the first major meeting with party office bearers in Lucknow after the humiliating defeat in the UP assembly elections where the party won only one out of the 403 seats up for grabs. She named her nephew Akash Anand the National Coordinator of the BSP.
Second, all the units in the state were dissolved. Third, Guddu Jamali, who contested from Owaisi's party AIMIM, was taken back to the BSP. Along with this, Mayawati has made 3 new in-charges - Munkad Ali, Rajkumar Gautam and Dr. Vijay Pratap, in Uttar Pradesh.
After this Mayawati held a press conference and targeted the BJP-SP. The BJP spread confusion among the people through the RSS that Mayawati would be made the President, she alleged. In the election, she added, Muslims voted unilaterally for the SP but sadly that could not stop the BJP from coming to power and claimed that Muslims were now repenting.
