LUCKNOW || Angered at an audio tape consisting his voice wherein he is telling a BJP worker in Gorakhpur that he should not expect much from the state government as it was a "government of Thakur's", the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party" has served a showcase notice to its Gorakhpur legislator Radha Mohan Das Agarwal.

State general secretary JPS Rathore said this act was most certainly indiscipline and that Agarwal has bene asked to respond within a week.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had released the audio on Thursday to buttress its allegation, earlier levelled by the party leader Sanjay Singh, that the Adityanath government was only working for "Thakur's, an upper caste to which the chief minister himself belonged".

The showcase notice was sent to the five-term legislator from Gorakhpur city seat, the home turf of the chief minister.

The incident has sparked turf war in the party with Bhojpuri actor turned politician, currently the Lok Sabha MP from Gorakhpur Ravi Kishen to demand the resignation of Agarwal. There have been murmurs in the ruling party of the party targeting the Brahmins, specially after a string of police encounters in which Brahmin dons have bene liquidated.
