Adityanath Extends Greetings To People For Dussehra, Appeals For Social Distancing And Caution

LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday extended the heartiest greetings of the Vijayadashami (Dussehra) festival to the people of the State. The Chief Minister said that the festival of Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of religion over immorality, good over evil and truth over untruth. On this day Lord Rama killed Ravana. This festival is celebrated all over India with traditional devotion and joyfulness.

Lord Rama was devoted to truth, dignity, justice, peace, philanthropy and public welfare. He was a symbol of moral, human and social values, that gives us inspiration to walk on the path of lord and lead an ideal life, he said in a statement issued by his office.

The festival of Vijayadashami gives us the message of achieving our goal with hope, enthusiasm and energy. On the day of Vijayadashami, Lord Ram had conquered Ravan, synonymous with terror, injustice and unrighteousness.

He encouraged the people to follow the path of virtue and righteousness. Goddess Jagadamba, the epitome of power is worshiped on the nine days of Navratri and the devotees are empowered. It is also a symbol of empowerment and supremacy, the saffron robed chief minister further added.

The Chief Minister has appealed to fully adhere to the protocol and social distancing of Kovid-19 in the programs organized on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
