100 Village Panchayats Of Gorakhpur To Be Developed As Model Villages

Gorakhpur, December 23 (TNA) Hundred gram panchayats of Gorakhpur will be developed as model villages. They will be made self-sufficient and will be made examples for other gram panchayats, an official said on Tuesday.

With regards to this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officers of the district administration and said that the performance grants and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds will be used in gram panchayats to create model villages, he added.

CM Yogi issued these instructions to officials late on Sunday at the Peethadheeshwar room of Gorakhnath Temple where he outlines that the village, pond, drainage, construction of roads as well as open gym, reading room, sports ground, water harvesting for water conservation for the model village, Construction of drains, construction of RO water plant, black school of primary schools, smart class, Anganwadi centers, health centers, community building, procession and renovation work of the house should also be done.

He added that in these works, funds received from performance grant and villages The panchayats which have not got the performance grants, CSR funds should be used there. In these villages, such works will also be done at the local level which can generate income and these villages can become self-sufficient in future.

District Magistrate Vijayendra Pandian said that in the past a DPR has been made to make the Gram Panchayat the model villages Gram Panchayat, which got the performance grant earlier.

Performance grants have been given to 37 gram panchayats in the district out of which DPR of 30 gram panchayats has been approved at the government level. By providing administrative and financial approval for these works worth Rs 30.82 crore, the gram panchayats have been instructed to work.

In Gram Panchayats, all such works including RO plant, street light, open gym, sports ground, smart class are being done so that these Gram Panchayats fall under the category of Adarsh ​​Gram Panchayats.
