Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ Nears ₹500 Crore, Storms Into All-Time Top Tamil Grossers
Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ continues its strong box office performance, earning approximately ₹3.65 crore net in India on day 13, bringing its domestic total to around ₹264 crore. The film’s worldwide gross is now estimated between ₹482 crore and ₹500 crore, making it close to becoming Rajinikanth’s second film to reach the ₹500 crore milestone post-pandemic.
Though the second week has seen a dip in daily collections, ‘Coolie’ maintains a clear lead over competing releases like ‘War 2’ and remains one of the highest-grossing Tamil films, achieving all-time top-2 status at the Hindi box office for a Tamil release. Evening and night show occupancies continue to be strong, especially in Hindi and Tamil circuits.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, produced by Sun Pictures, and starring a star-studded cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Shruthi Haasan, and Aamir Khan, the film enjoys a robust footing across multiple regions. Trade analysts expect ‘Coolie’ to remain a major presence at the box office in the coming days.
