Manohar Lal Khattar Lauds Uttar Pradesh’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan In Virtual Meeting

Lucknow, September 9 (TNA) In a virtual meeting with states on Swachh Bharat Pakhwada 2025, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar praised Uttar Pradesh for its outstanding performance in last year’s 155-hour continuous cleaning campaign. The campaign was successfully executed under the guidance of Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma.

Building on this success, Uttar Pradesh has now announced an even bigger initiative – a 156-hour continuous cleaning campaign scheduled to run from 25 September to 2 October 2025, in line with the nationwide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

During the meeting, Cabinet Ministers and the State Mission Director briefed on preparations and strategies for this year’s campaign. Sharma highlighted that during Swachhata Hi Seva 2024, Uttar Pradesh achieved cleaning of over 1.09 lakh Sanitation Targeted Units (CTUs) in urban areas, along with significant improvements in garbage dump sites across multiple urban local bodies.
