Yamuna River Touches The Danger Mark in Delhi

New Delhi, July 10 (TNA) Badgered by heavy rains in the past 48-hours, the union capital now faces a new problem as the Yamuna river has touched the danger mark. According to officials, at 5:00 pm on Monday, the level of Yamuna had tocuhed 205.40 metres. The danger level of the river is 205.33 metre.

Other than the heavy rains in the city, the Yamuna is in spate also because a large amount of water is being released from the Hathinikund barrage. On Friday 2.18 lakh cusec water from Hathinikund released was released in the Yamuna. The spate in the river has threatened low lying areas in the capital.
