With Growing Fire Incidents, Indian Railways Bans Charging Of Electronic Gadgets In AC Coaches At Night

New Delhi, March 31 (TNA) With growing incidents of fire in trains, the Indian Railways has taken a major decision to safeguard passengers and property against such mishaps.

According to information available, in air-conditioned coaches, charging of electronic gadgets - laptops, tablets, mobile phones, will not be permissible between 11 pm to 5 am.

All passengers on board trains in AC coaches can charge their cadets at all times except this time, an official has been quoted in media reports. Recently two trains caught fire, incidentally both Shatabdi Express on different routes. The Indian Railways has decided to ensure total safety of passengers against such fire incidents, the officer further said.
