Unhappy With Their Marriage, Man Shoots Daughter, Son-In-Law Dead In Uttarakhand's Kashipur

DEHRADUN || A case of honour killing jolted the hill state of Uttarakhand on Tuesday as a man shot dead his daughter-in-law and son in Kashipur district. According to information available,

unhappy over having a love marriage, a father and brother are accused of pulling the trigger and killing the couple.

The couple got married five months ago. After the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Bhatt rushed to the spot with a forensic team. The accused however fled the crime scene and the police is on a lookout for them.

The husband and wife have been shot and killed. Both are being told from different communities. The woman's father and brother's involvement is coming to light. Police is searching for the accused. Soon the accused will be caught.

According to the information, Mohammad Rashid, a resident of Mohalla Ali Khan of the city, had a love marriage with Nazia living in the neighborhood. This however was not taken kindly by the girl's family unhappy. After marriage, both were staying out of the house due to fear of family members.

It is said that a month ago both of them had returned home at the behest of the girl's father. Since then, Rashid was staying at his home with wife Nazia.

At around 9 pm on Monday night, the husband and wife were returning with the medicine on the bike and as they turned towards their house, they were ambushed by the young girls's father and brother. The two then opened fire on the duo. Both were killed on the spot.
