Two-Time Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel Passes Away Due To Post-COVID Complications

AHMEDABAD || Two-time Gujarat chief minister Keshubhai Patel passed away at a hospital on Thursday where he was taken after he developed breathlessness. He was 92.

He had recently tested COVID positive after which he underwent a long treatment and was able to defeat the dreaded virus which has killed millions across the world.

His condition however deteriorated on Thursday and he was rushed to a medical facility but he could not be saved. Senior BJP leaders have condoled the demise of Patel, one of the BJP stalwarts in Gujarat.

He was chief minister of the coastal state twice, once in 1995 and then again in 1998. Both times however he could not complete his tenure. When he was forced to quit in 2001, Narendra Modi took over.
