Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Receives U/A Certificate With Seven Edits, To Release On September 7

Mumbai, August 24 (TNA) Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film 'Jawan' is set to release on September 7, having obtained a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The certificate lists 7 proposed changes, including the removal of a beheaded body scene and reduction of a suicide depiction. A reference to the President of India was altered to 'Head of State.'

Additional modifications were made to dialogues and references. Clocking in at 2 hours 49 minutes, the film showcases Shah Rukh Khan in a double role with six distinct looks. He mentioned the movie's focus on women's empowerment in a recent #AskSRK session.

Alongside Nayanthara, the film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and an extended cameo by Deepika Padukone. Helmed by renowned director Atlee Kumar, the action-thriller hails from the southern film industry.
