Retired Army Trooper Who Killed Four In Gurugram Commits Suicide In Prison

Gurugram, Oct 5 (TNA) A retired army soldier who killed four people has committed suicide in jail by hanging himself, polcie said on Tuesday. Rao Rai Singh was accused of killing four people at Rajendra Park in Gurugram, Haryana, has committed suicide in jail.

Late Monday night, a retired soldier committed suicide by hanging himself with a cot in his barracks. Police has started investigating the matter.

On August 24 late night in Gurugram, four people, including a girl, were brutally beheaded by a retired soldier on suspicion of illicit relations between his daughter-in-law and a tenant.

The 65-year-old retired soldier Rao Rai Singh had attacked and killed his daughter-in-law Sunita Yadav (35), tenant Krishan Tiwari (40), his wife Anamika Tiwari (34) and daughter Surbhi (7) with sharp weapons. The tenant's three-year-old daughter Vidhi was injured in the attack.

After carrying out the murder, the accused himself reached the police station and informed the police about the incident. According to the police, Rai Singh's wife and granddaughter were found alive on the first floor of the house, while daughter-in-law Sunita was lying dead there.
