Respite For Nawazuddin Siddiqui And Family As HC Stays Arrest In Case Filed By His Wife

PRAYAGRAJ || In a big respite for Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the Allahabad High Court (HC) on Monday stayed his arrest and that of his three family members. The court also ordered the police to continue with its investigations in a case filed by his estranged wife Aalia Siddiqui alias Anjali.

Wife of the actor, in a police complaint on July 27, had accused him and his brother Minhazuddin of sexual abuse of a child. His brother, owing to the seriousness of the charges, has not been given any relief in the case.

Till completion of the police probe, the arrest of the actor, his mother and two other brothers has been stayed by the HC. Siddiqui and his wife had taken a divorce in 2011 by mutual consent.
