Renowned Bollywood Art Director And Producer Nitin Chandrakant Desai Dies At 57

Mumbai, August 2 (TNA) Renowned art director and producer Nitin Chandrakant Desai was found dead at his studio in Karjat, Maharashtra, at the age of 57. The news of his tragic demise sent shockwaves through the film industry and among his admirers.

Desai was known for his exceptional work as an art director and had an illustrious career spanning both Hindi and Marathi films. He collaborated extensively with acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, contributing to the magnificent sets of iconic films like "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" and "Bajirao Mastani." Additionally, he lent his artistic vision to projects by other esteemed filmmakers, such as Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and Ashutosh Gowariker.

Having won the National Film Award for Best Art Direction four times for his remarkable work on "Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar," "Lagaan," "Devdas," and "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam," Nitin Desai's talent and dedication were widely recognized. He also received the Filmfare Best Art Direction Award three times for his exceptional contributions to "Devdas," "Khamoshi," and "1942: A Love Story."
