RBI Releases Holiday List, Banks To Remain Closed On 11 Days In November

Mumbai, November 1 (TNA) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for November 2025, with banks scheduled to remain closed for 11 days. These include both national holidays and state-specific closures aligned with regional festivals and events.

On November 1, banks will be closed in Karnataka for Kannada Rajyotsava, the state formation day, and in Uttarakhand for Igas-Bagwal, a regional festival also called “Devta Diwali.” November 5 marks a nationwide closure in many states, including Delhi, Punjab, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and others, due to Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima celebrations.

In Meghalaya, banks will be closed on November 6 and 7 for the Nongkrem Dance Festival and Wangala Festival, respectively. Additionally, banks in Karnataka will observe Kanakadasa Jayanthi on November 8.

Apart from these dates, banks will also remain closed every Sunday and on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, resulting in a total of 11 holidays. Customers are advised to plan their banking needs accordingly; however, digital banking services such as net banking and mobile banking will continue to function on these holidays. ATMs will also remain operational to facilitate cash withdrawals during the holidays
