Rajasthan Gets High-Speed Rail Upgrade As PM Modi Inaugurates Three Trains

Jaipur, September 25 (TNA) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday flagged off three new trains in Rajasthan, including two Vande Bharat Express services and one express connecting Rajasthan to Chandigarh.

The new trains are: Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express. These launches aim to enhance rail connectivity, reduce travel time, and promote economic and tourism growth across Rajasthan and neighbouring states.

The new Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express begins its journey from Bikaner Junction, making stops at Shri Dungargarh, Ratangarh Junction, Churu Junction, Sadulpur Junction, Loharu, Mahendragarh, and Gurgaon before reaching its final destination at Delhi Cantt. The train covers this distance in about 6 hours and 15 minutes.

Similarly, the Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express starts from Jodhpur Junction and halts at Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, and Alwar, followed by Rewari and Gurgaon in Haryana before arriving at Delhi Cantt.

The Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express starts from Udaipur City and stops at several key stations including Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli Junction, Kapasan, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Phulera, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui Junction, Rajgarh, Alwar, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind, Narwana, Kaithal, Kurukshetra Junction, Ambala Cantt, and finally Chandigarh.

These new train routes significantly boost connectivity between important cities and regions across Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, and Punjab, providing faster and more convenient travel options.
