Rains, Thunder Storm Likely In Delhi, Neighbouring Areas

New Delhi, February 4 (TNA) The Met office has predicted thunderstorm and rains in New Delhi and some parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) and western Uttar Pradesh over the next few hours. According to the weatherman, rains are likely to also occur in neighbouring Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh as well.

The rains and thunderstorm are likely to take place due to "persistence of convective clouds" over Western Himalayan Region and plains of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and western parts of Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood areas.

While the intense cold wave that had persisted for the past ten days or so has petered out over the past 24-hours, the Met office predicts that the winter was far from over and that it was not yet time to "pack the woolens".
