PM Modi Writes to Sunita Williams, Expresses Pride and Concern for Her Safe Return

New Delhi, March 18 (TNA) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a heartfelt letter to astronaut Sunita Williams, emphasizing that though she is thousands of miles away, she remains close to the hearts of Indians.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh shared the letter on X, stating, "While the world eagerly awaits Sunita Williams’ safe return, PM Modi has expressed his concern for India’s daughter in this way."

In his letter, PM Modi conveyed best wishes on behalf of the people of India. He mentioned meeting renowned astronaut Mike Massimino at an event, where Williams’ name came up in conversation, highlighting the immense pride India feels for her achievements.

PM Modi also shared that during his visits to the United States, he had inquired about Williams’ well-being with both former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. His letter reflects India's admiration and support for her contributions to space exploration.
