1 min read

Srinagar, December 16 (TNA) Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Omar Abdullah has publicly criticised the Congress party for questioning Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) only when it loses elections.

Abdullah, an ally of the Congress within the INDI alliance, emphasised the need to accept election results and supported the Central Vista Project, highlighting a divergence in views within the political coalition.

This has sparked a debate on the consistency and motives behind criticisms of EVM integrity.Congress has been alleging that the EVM's are manipulated to favour the ruling dispensation, the BJP. The ruling party however trashed these allegations and so did the Election Commission of India.
