NDA's Vijay Sinha Elected Speaker Of Bihar State Assembly
Patna, Nov 25 (TNA) After much mud-slinging and protests, the National democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Vijay Sinha was on Wednesday elected the speaker of the Bihar state assembly.
His election though was smooth due to the majority enjoyed by the NDA, it was however marred by uproar by opposition benches led by the Rashtriya janata Dal (RJD).
In the election, the NDA candidate got 126 and the Grand Alliance got 114 votes. After the results, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav led the speaker to his chair and congratulated him. This has happened after five decades in Bihar, when elections were held for the post of speaker.
